Smart environments, multi-agent systems, (rule-based, knowledge-based, and model-based) computation, automation and robotic software systems, computational Intelligence (primarily fuzzy logic and neuro-fuzzy systems) theory and application, traditional Artificial Intelligence, reactive software systems, visual and diagrammatic programming languages, and distributed sensor networks.
